The Main Street Downtown Design Center is a partnership between SIU, The City of Carbondale, Carbondale Main Street and the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce.
It is located in the Historic Passenger Train Depot, in the former baggage room. The space features the original scale for the Depot, exposed brick, and is a lovely space for meetings, presentations, etc.
It can be reserved (for no cost) by calling the Main Street office. If you would like to display work, we would love to have you!
Stop by for a visit to the Design Center and see the Historic Train Depot. It’s the perfect place for your next get-together!
